Stair tread steel gratings(commonly known as grating steps) are fabricated from low-carbon steel or stainless steel. It is one of the most widely used and popular types of steel gratings. It has properties like high strength, strong load-bearing capacity, resistance to extreme temperatures, wind, and rain, slipping, corrosion.Its attractive appearance, low maintenance design and ease of installation and removal,make it ideal for steel ladders in factories, schools, parks, stadiums, as well as civil and commercial buildings.

1) According to installation method,there are two types:

  * welding connection: the tread plate can be directly welded to the ladder beam,it is economical and durable but not easy to disassemble.

  *Bolt connection: the tread plate require thickened side plate on two sides with drilled holes. The installation is fixed directly by bolts which makes it recycled and reused.

2)  According to the surface of the stair treads, there are two types:

*plain stair treads :widely used stair treads.

*serrated stair treads:have good property of non-slip and safety

3) According to the nosing, there are four types: 

no nosing stair treads, checker plate stair treads, vertical stripped plate stair treads and perforated nosing stair treads. Different types of nosing can improve the slip resistance of the stair treads.
